Several days ago i got quite annoying problem of ths device, BB tour 9650. Tombol j,k dan d ngga berfungsi, mogok kerja. Dipencet halus pencet gemes sama aja, keytune nya ogah merespon.
It's keytune shows up with problem.
The annoying thing was call button also get in the row, perhaps somekind of button's solidarity? And this is become a mayhem, can't accept nor perform a call either.
Well, actually I should be glad since this bb has been used for office matters, could be the escape door when someone try to get in call with problems or working request :P
Yeah, AVOID AT BEST!!! LOL
But alas, can't resist the temptation to knock down n fix things. So here it goes.....
Open up top lid (has 'blackberry' logo) and find two bolts on each side, find 4 bolts at the back after open up battery cover. Don't forget to taking off simcard or memory if it has any.
See? It doesn't that hard to disassembled a good built device, a scratch or little crack can be forgiven. Especially when it went out from warranty hehehe....
Clean all visible dust n dirt. Mine has it under the keytune, keypad and trackball. Might also give a warm water soak? Nahhh, won't bother (I'm joking, don't get too serious).
Okay, time to test. Use back case n attach to mainboard, it's needed to hold the battery firm in it's place.
Tadaaa... BB came back to life and all keytune working normally
Put it all back together and it working like new.
